Achieve Super
do something productive every day
About Me
Keith Hetzel
Hello, I'm Keith Hetzel

Welcome to Achieve Super — an idea that I had over 10 years ago. Now a decade later; I'm a husband, father, builder, and lifelong learner based in Milwaukee, WI. By day, I work as a software engineer. By night (and weekends), I am experimenting with different things quite often. Some may could call that impulsive but I think there's more to it than that.

The first attempt at this blog started long ago. Basically I didn't know how to write and I had almost no experience worth writing about. Maybe I still don't know how to write, we'll see. The idea of a blog sat dormant for basically the entire 10 years. I always thought that there was "market saturation" and also even "why bother." I have changed that mentality now. Over this timeline I have grown a lot and in many ways. I'm just trying to build what I would consider a meaningful life and that is an adventure that doesn't have a set finish line.

"I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours."
— Henry David Thoreau
What I Write About

Honestly, we will see. My interests are broad, but most of what you'll find here will definitely fall into the category of productivity and positivity, and maybe some philosophy (if I dare go there).

I'm particularly drawn to the idea of trying to help others advance their life in a meaningful way. I have created what I'd consider a good amount of success in my life. No matter my opinions of my outcomes, I want to see if I can help others pursue and achieve their own goals. A rising tide lifts all boats.

Background

I've worked as a software engineer for the past 10 years. I am a college dropout but I didn't stop pursing knowledge. My reason for dropping out was to accelerate my path to creating the life and lifestyle that I desired. So I took a gamble at a local software development bootcamp, 3 months of 10 hours per day learning and I got a few job offers after that.
I started my professional career at 19. I bought a house at 21. Married at 26. Father at 28.
You don't need to want the same things as me and that's okay. I just wanted to quickly share some of my journey.

The thing that I never stopped doing was learning. I have continued and I will continue learning skills to advance my life.
